Bramley Iron Mum is more than a triathlon, it's a lifestyle...
Iron Mum is all about being inclusive and mums are training at all levels of fitness. The point is that we're spending several months getting more exercise together than we would ever have got round to on our own, and making new friendships in the process. The training sessions are free and the event entry fee is kept to £5 (unless you register late), so you can definitely afford it!
Choose your competition level
To make the event challenging for all we have two classes:
Buns of Steel: 3km run, 6km cycle, 100m strength sprint
Abs of Iron: 6km run, 12km cycle, 100m strength sprint
Fun day for the rest of the family
Bring your supporters along! Iron Mum 2011 will again include a mini-funday for children and adult supporters. We are planning another communal warm-up, the police again, drumming, maybe some cheerleaders and much more...
Are we a charity? Are we a business?Iron Mum is organised by three local mums on a voluntary basis. All event expenses are funded through registration fees, fundraising and donations. We rely heavily on the generosity of local companies, friends and other charities for donations, raffle prizes, marshalling and promotion.

I don't want to compete, can I still be involved?Yes! If you want to get fitter come along to the training sessions. There's no commitment to compete, although you would get a lot of satisfaction from it...
If you would like to help in another way we are always looking for event marshals and funday helpers. Email bramleyironmum@googlemail.com to register your interest. Donations of raffle prizes are also always welcome too!
